City and Guilds - 2391

This is now an open-book course: meaning that you can take the REGs, On-site Guide and Guidance Note 3 in to the exam with you; plus being online multiple-choice means you get your results straight away!
The 2391-50 and 2391-51 qualifications are available individually, but you can save time and money by attending the combined 2391-52 course. A 2391 qualification is currently required to gain your JIB grading as an approved electrician.
If you have the 2394/2395 qualifications, these are still recognised as valid qualifications, therefore you will not need to undertake this 2391 course.

The cost will be:

2391-50 Initial Verification only: £707.50 + VAT (5 days)
2391-51 Periodic Inspection & Testing only : £870.00 + VAT (6 days)
2391-52 Combined course: £870.00 + VAT (6 days)

Combined course content:

The course will cover the specific methods of inspecting and testing all types of installations, whether single or three-phase, to the current requirements of BS 7671. It covers the inspection and testing techniques as given in IET Guidance Note 3 and how to professionally complete Certification and Reports.

This C&G 2391-52 course is aimed at practicing electricians who wish to gain qualifications in periodic inspection and testing as well as initial verification of new systems. For some time now the industry has been crying out for a simpler more effective qualification to cover inspection and testing.

The course has been introduced to streamline and simplify the qualifications required to carry our advanced inspection and testing.

Entry requirements?

You must be over 18 and up to date with industry requirements. You should be working in the electrical industry and involved with the inspection and testing process.

Please note: There is limited practical training, as such we recommend that you attend our additional practical assessment ‘practice’ day.  The cost for this being £100 + VAT and can be booked at time of initial booking or once you have already started the course if you prefer.
