This qualification commences on Friday 31st January 2025 and each subsequent Friday thereafter.

Achieving this qualification:
Completion of this qualification is expected in approximately 30 weeks of blended learning (classroom, online and individual study hours) and is provided on a modular delivery basis.  This could be completed sooner dependent on individual’s knowledge and progress.

Delegates can join the course during the training period at the commencement of any unit as the qualification will be delivered on a rolling delivery process.

Cost:
The cost is £2500 + VAT = £3000, which can be paid in instalments if required. We would ask for a £500 inc. VAT deposit upon registration, with five subsequent monthly payments of £500 each.

Entry requirements:
The delegate must have already successfully completed the Level 2 Diploma 2365.
Any delegate yet to achieve the theory units (202, 203, 210) of Level 2 successfully, will be reviewed on application, with a view to achieving these outstanding units.

Who is the qualification for?
For candidates who want to work as electricians in the building services engineering sector. This qualification does not make candidates fully qualified electricians; however, it is a key requirement to achieving qualified electrician status.

Required Publications:
Delegates will require current copies of the IET Wiring Regulations, Guidance Note 3 and On-Site Guide) which we can provide individually at £99, £37 & £35. Alternatively, these can be purchased as a Bundle for £160.

Plus, the City & Guilds Textbook: Book 2 Electrical Installations (2nd edition), which can also be purchased at £40.

What opportunities for progression are there?
It allows candidates to progress into employment, although not as a fully qualified electrician, or onto the following City & Guilds qualifications:

  • Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services
  • Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology
  • Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
  • Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
  • Level 4 Award in Design and Verification of Electrical Installations
  • 2346 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker qualification, providing the 5-year experience requirement can be met.
