Authorised Person for Low Voltage Electrical Systems

This four-day course is offered to companies to enable their operatives to gain the knowledge required to carry out the role of Authorised Person (Electrical) within their company. The course will cover the general criteria contained within requirements of the IET Code of practice for Electrical Safety Management; plus related HSE publications such as Electricity at Work Regulations and Safe Working Practices that are appropriate for documents covered by HTM documents (Electrical Safety Guidance for Low Voltage Systems in the Health industry) and WIMES documents (Electrical Safety Guidance for Low Voltage Systems in the Water Industry) for example.

This is not a scheduled course for individuals, but for company bookings only. Dates will be arranged at the time of booking to suit the client’s and our availability.

We would require a minimum of four and maximum of eight delegates per course.

We can provide this training at our centre in Kent ME2 2LT or onsite at company venue (to be agreed dependant on location). Travel costs could be added for on-site, plus overnight accommodation may be required dependant on location distance.

Who is this course for:
This course is aimed at competent persons looking to advance to an authorised person, who would have responsibility for authorising the maintenance and operation of installed Low Voltage systems and who may be nominated as an Authorised Person within their organisation. It would also be suitable for mechanical staff with a reasonable degree of electrical knowledge.

Delegates must have previously attended Competent Person training course within the last two years and provide evidence if having not attended this training with us.
